Problem & constraints

I made a hammer to practise turning a part design into a finished metal object.

Each feature needed a suitable setup, secure workholding, and room for the cutting tool. The order of operations had to account for how the parts would fit together.

Design & approach

I practised using a mill and lathe, alongside welding and CNC work. The hammer is one example from those projects.

A small tool gave me a manageable project for practising machining operations and assembly.
